Deposit, Cancellation & Credit Policy
How project deposits secure materials and scheduling, and what happens when a customer changes or cancels a project.
Purpose of a deposit
Deposits reserve project capacity and may be applied to material allocation or ordering, storage, logistics, project preparation, administration and scheduling. Unless the accepted quote states otherwise, project deposits are non-refundable once these commitments begin.
Customer cancellation or change
If a customer decides not to proceed with installation, Derkson may convert the project to a supply-only order where practical. The customer pays the remaining material, handling, delivery and applicable tax balance before release or shipment.
- An account credit may be considered after deducting non-recoverable material, processing, carrying, freight or administrative costs.
- Custom, special-order, cut, fabricated or allocated products may not be returnable or creditable.
- Credits and transfers are documented through Derkson OS.
Derkson cancellation
If Derkson Contracting Ltd. elects to cancel an accepted project for reasons within its control, any refund or credit due will be processed under the signed agreement and applicable law. Supplier backorders, unsafe sites, weather and events outside Derkson’s control are handled under the delay policy.
